  • What is Car Servicing?
    A car service is when you take your car to a garage for a routine check-up. A mechanic will look at your car's condition and check parts for wear and tear, such as: brakes, oil, filters, and engine belt.
  • Why do I need to get my Car Serviced?
    Regular servicing helps maintain your car and keep it running smoothly. For example, having the oil and filters changed can stop dirt and dust from getting into your engine and potentially causing major problems. If you don't service your car, you're more likely to see its performance deteriorate over time.
  • How often should my car be serviced?
    Car manufacturers recommend when you should get your car serviced, based on mileage or time, for instance every 15,000 miles or 24 months. The time limit only applies if you haven't reached the mileage limit.
  • What does servicing a car include?
    Checks during a car service can include the engine oil, oil filter, lights, tyres, bodywork, exhausts, brakes, steering, fluid and coolant levels, suspension and 12V battery.
  • How long does a car service take?
    Typically, a full service (or master service) will take around 3 - 4 hours to complete. An interim (Short) service is often half the time – usually around an hour and a half.
  • Does getting my car serviced help with its performance?
    Keeping up with getting your car serviced helps increase the performance by keeping it running smoothly. And, avoiding potential major problems further on down the line.
